2017 UNC New Grad Program

Hello everyone! Has anyone applied to the 2017 UNC New Graduate Program? If so, have you heard anything back from them? My application status has been "under consideration" since January 4th. I'm excited and can't wait to hear back from them.

I applied January 4th and am "Under Consideration" as well. It will probably be a bit before we hear back, as the deadline for us to send in transcripts isn't until January 31st. They probably aren't going to do anything until after that deadline.

Hey! I applied for the program at the beginning on January, and still am "under consideration." Has anyone heard anything different yet?

I talked to a person in HR and they stated that the process takes anywhere from 2-4 months.

Guess it'll be a while until anyone hears anything then! :dead: :dead: :dead: :dead:

I applied in January as well, and when I talked to HR a couple weeks ago they said the earliest we would hear back is March. Hopefully we don't have to wait for 4 months!

Has anyone heard anything back from them yet?

I just saw the update they posted on 3/1 that the March applications will be reviewed starting in mid-April, so I would assume by that timeline they will be, if not already are, looking at the January applications soon. Hope that we all will hear back soon!

Hey does anyone know if they have heard anything from any pediatric floors?

They have started to offer interviews. I got an email today. It didn't tell me what area the interview was in, but they said they were set up a time to call me and discuss the possible units. When I filled out the application, I selected the critical care/stepdown, acute surgery service, and heart and vascular service. I don't know if they are notifying everyone this week or just certain areas.

Still haven't heard anything.

I applied to UNC as a new grad a few years ago. At that time, the timeline was as follows: Applications were due in early Feb. Internal applicants (people currently employed as CNAs) started getting interviews in March-April. External applicants were offered interviews in late April and beyond. I didn't hear anything until the last week of May; I was offered an interview, but I'd already accepted a job that started less than two weeks later.

When I applied, I also heard that the timeline could vary each year. Apparently the year before they did the hiring much earlier, and people were getting offers in March. Overall, though, they seem to be on the slower side. My year, Duke was already handing out job offers around the time that the UNC applications were first due.
