UMB FALL 2011

I will be applying for the Fall 2011 program at UMB really really soon. I was wondering if anyone else was doing the same...? I'm really nervous about applying because Anatomy really kicked my butt last semester and I ended up getting a C (even though I ended up doing really well on my other science courses). Now, I'm losing hope. Anyone feeling the same?

Not sure of the difference, I just know complete ready for review is step one, and comittee ready is step 2.

Thanks. mine says still in step 1.

Mine still says complete ready for review; it's been that way for a few weeks. I am so impatient, it's only been 2 weeks since the deadline and the wait is already killing me.

Question- did any of you send in the in state tuition form with your application? Becuase I cant remember if I sent that in with mine or not, but if I by some chance get in then I really need to get in state tuition- I have livedi n maryland my entire life, but am worried that if they don't have the form I will get charged more.

Anyway, good luck, and hopefully we only have a few more weeks to wait.

I feel you on being impatient, luckily I still have classes to take and they are keeping me distracted. On the residency info; I sent it in, but I have only lived here for a year and a half so it's a bigger deal for me. I would guess that they would give us all another chance to prove residency if that information is missing or incomplete.

My status changed to committee ready! :) Hopefully we hear something soon!

Committee Ready! And I lied, my classes are not keeping me distracted. I have a humanities test in a few hours and I still havent studied, but I have been here and to simsweb...

LOL I know...every time I check my email and facebook I also check this site too to see if anyone has posted anything new.... :)

The same here. Committee Ready!

Does anyone know if we will be informed via the SIMS website whether or not we are waitlisted or will it just keep saying "Committee Ready" until all the seats are filled? I've been reading posts from people who applied for Spring 2011 and they didn't hear decisions until mid-November (and I believe the deadline for Spring 2011 was September 1, so that's making me realize we still have quite a looong wait ahead of us!). I didn't see posts from anyone about what the Application Summary looked like if you get waitlisted or rejected, so I was just wondering if any of you have applied for previous semesters and been rejected or waitlisted, what did your Application Summary look like? And did it take longer to find out a rejection than it took for others to find out their acceptance? I'm guessing if you're waitlisted, they'll wait until the deposit deadline to see how many seats are still open?? I know I'm jumping the gun here, but all this waiting is making me CRAZY!!!

Hi! I haven't applied to UMB before, but I was waitlisted then denied at two schools I applied to last year. My status on their websites went from Applied to Pending both times, so from my experience, Pending usually means waitlisted (because you are pending others not accepting their seats first). That usually happens after they start releasing admission decisions, so I wouldn't worry until after other people start getting their acceptances. If others are getting in and status says Pending, then I would worry (from my own experience)....Hope this helps some, or at least until someone who has been waitlisted replies....Good luck to you! :)

From what I read in the other threads is that there is no waitlist that applicants become aware of, and that's why you haven't read of a waitlist or rejection status. The first round of offers goes out, two weeks later after drposits are in the second round goes out and so on, the whole time the status remains the same until accepted. Of course this is just In my observation.

Ok thanks! Hopefully, this isn't the case for any of us here! :) My first choice is UMB, and MC is my back-up so I'm praying I get into at least one of them. Although I'd much rather go for my Bachelor's the first time around. And so the waiting continues...

I'm sure I'm just repeating what everyone else has been saying and thinking, but this wait is killing me! We aren't even a month in yet, and I'm already checking the surfs site several times a day and checking allnurses to see if anyone had any status changes yet. I'm at committee ready and I hope we all start hearing soon; I'm so nervous about everything, and every time I check I swear my heart stops for a second.
