UK nurse in US

Hello,

I'm very new to this. I'm only considering to become a nurse, researching where to apply, here in UK, or maybe in US.

Thinking of getting BSc (Hons) in Adult Nursing in UK. But I don't want to stay in UK after I graduate, I want to work around the world or best in US.

Can anyone help me with an advice on whether I'll ever get a job in US (no matter how many exams I'd need to take)? And how long will I need to work in UK (after graduation) to just be able to start applying for jobs abroad? And does the current degree in UK match US education?

So, that's three questions but any info would be so appreciated.

p.s. one question on different topic- If I paid myself for a first year of nursing education in US, could I then apply for a loan (I don't know anyone there, so I don't have anyone to co-sign anything with me)?

    UK training will not, in a lot of cases, meet US or Canada requirements at the moment. US and Canada are general trained and have clinical and theory elements in Paeds, Mental Health, Obstetrics and Adult. Most UK nurses miss out on Paeds and Obstetrics. Currently no courses in the UK to make up hours as training in the UK is for the UK not for people to train and then move abroad.

    Also generally you are expected as a student to show that you can fund your schooling and living expensive so I think will be hard for you to find someone willing to loan the money especially as no guarantee you can stay afterwards to live and work. The US is a hard country to move to and can be done as long as you are aware of the time frame and delays that are or will be present. Although you get OPT which allows you to gain 12 months work experience because of retrogression and the fact that currently it will take anywhere between 2-12 years (depending where you was born) to get a immigrant visa allowing you to live and work in the US many hospitals haven't really been taking in F1 OPT nurses due to the expense of training a new grad and not being able to stay
