UIW Fall 2021

Hey everyone. I have yet to find a forum post for UIW Traditional Fall 2021 so I wanted to start one! Anyone else applying for this term? If so, what are your stats?

My pre-req GPA: 3.63

Cumulative GPA: 3.45

I took my TEAS test over a year ago so I'm retaking it Jan 7 and submitting my application that day. Good luck to everyone! We got this! ?

Hey it's nice to meet you! ? I'm rooting for us!! From previous forums I've read I think we may know admissions decisions by early march but we shall see I guess I'm so nervous but excited and ready

Hey nice to meet you too! I spoke to Eunice from Nursing Admission. She said we should find out by mid March. I didn’t do good on TEAS and didn’t have time to retake it. I am just hoping for miracle I guess. But she said proficient level was fine... will see

Did you apply in any other schools or just UIW?

I've taken the TEAS twice. I got a 73.3% this last time. I was hoping for an 80 or higher but I'm just happy I majorly improved my scores in all the sections from the first time I took it. I bet you did great!! Don't worry! I know they look at many other things. My friend is going there right now and she didn't do that well on her TEAS but had volunteer and other things. I have applied to 3 other schools but UIW is my dream and top choice! What about you?

I applied to UTHSCSA and UIW. Whichever takes me I will go there LOL,but my #1 choice was UTHSCSA just cuz it’s cheaper. ? btw thanks for creating the group! just added myself there!

Haha same!! I'd love to go to either school! I was waitlisted last semester at UTHSCSA so I'm really hoping I get into either as well. I think I won't be as nervous going into the interview this time hopefully LOL and yes of course! I'm hoping more people will find this page and join the group cause it's been hard to find any information related to UIW

Oh wow! Did you get to go through interview with UTHSCSA? What kind of questions were they asking ? So curious cuz it’s my first time applying there, do not know what to expect... was is like “tell me about yourself” type questions?

And yes there is not much info on UIW...? I even asked my classmate from college,who is nursing program there but all he say it’s fairly easy and interview wasn’t bad.... he says it’s easier to get into UIW than UTHSCSA... IDK

Hello! I see a few similar users from UTHSCSAs thread! I also applied to UIW and just got called to schedule an interview yesterday! My top choice is UTHSCSA, but at this point I really don’t care where I go. I just really want to be a nurse already! This is my 2nd round applying to UTHSCSA- I messed up by not applying to multiple programs.. lesson learned! 

My Stats: Cumulative: 3.1 Pre Reqs: 3.4 TEAS 80.

Some of us also applied to UTHSCSA! This is my second time applying to UTHSCSA as well!!
