UCLA New Grad Program 2010

Has anyone heard anything back from the UCLA New Grad Summer Program for 2010? I applied in the beginning of February and have only had a phone interview so far, with no feedback yet. Any info or others' experience would be much appreciated, thank you!

Thanks for getting back to me Jan. I knew about having to wait a few weeks before hearing back. I used to work at UCLA and floated a few times over to SM... the floors I worked on had already been renovated and they were beautiful. I know what you mean though - i'd work anywhere as long as it was for UCLA (except it would be wonderful to be at RR!) :)

I have a question for all of you who have already gotten interviews. Do all of you live in-state? No one from my school (in NY) that applied to the new graduate program has heard anything back yet. Wondering if they are interviewing those who live in the area first.....I mean, at this point, any response would be nice. February 1st seems like ages ago.

Thanks for your feedback in advance!

Engle05 - I live in CA.

Engle - I went to school in NY and have an interview. There are three from my school (all out of state except me) who had/will have interviews in the coming weeks.

Interesting. I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that we dont have our RN licenses yet (graduate in May). I'm going to stop guessing now - whatever happens happens. Thanks for your replies!

I got to school in san Diego and graduate in may as well... And I had an interview...

P6 - Me too! Which school? I'd PM you, but i'm still a newbie :)

I go to PLNU... how about you?

Hey you guys,

So I spoke to someone in the recruitment office and she said that they have not started contacting the out-of-state people yet. Then she said that all of the out-of-state candidates who have made it past the phone assessment interview would be contacted by a phone interview conducted by the senior nurse recruiter to get to know the candidates a little better. I asked for my app status and she said that I would be scheduled for that in the next 1-2 weeks. Then she said that they would be choosing applicants for scheduling interviews with the unit managers. WOW! This is a process!!

Just an FYI for all those anxiously waiting.

I know of 5 people (including myself) that have had interviews last week and this week.

From out-of-state? If so, I cant say I'm all that surprised....I feel like I keep on hearing so many different things from them that I don't know what's true anymore!! :uhoh3:
