UAB Fall 2010

When do they offer interviews? Who all here applied? I applied to the Mobile Component. I am applying to 3 schools this year and UAB-Mobile is the hardest out of the three programs I am applying to.

I have a 3.53 GPA, 1030 on the GRE, 4.0 Graduate GPA with 18 hours towards my MSN, and my CCRN certification.... I should have studied for the GRE. I just woke up and took it without studying. When I apply to LSU for Fall 2010 (LSU is my reach school) I plan to actually study for the GRE!!!

So back to the topic :yeah: When do they offer interviews and who all applied?

Ok...just heard that letters WILL definately be SENT BEFORE THANKSGIVING!!! That's only 17 full days from today!!!! CROSSING MY FINGERS!

Well I received my letter yesterday....I GOT an interview...mine will be done the first week in Jan 2010.. When I started this 2010 seemed so far off ... now it is just around the corner....Ok now I need any advice or tips form former students that have interviewed. Who else is going in Jan???

My wife got her letter too. She did not get an interview for Huntsville. The letter said that there were only 8 granted interviews...so maybe 4 slots? GRE scores were probably the only thing she wasn't competive on...

Good Luck to all!

Received this email today:

"The UAB Nurse Anesthesia Program has sent out letters to all but the Mobile, Pensacola and Tuscaloosa Applicants. If you have any questions regarding your letter please call the program office at xxx-xxx-xxxxx"

So ya'll keep your fingers cross and good luck!

Should also add that I have been accepted to UT Memphis starting in June of next year. It is a 3 year DNP program (their 1st). Now trying to decide if I should even interview at UAB???? Any suggestions? Really enjoyed UT Memphis and the faculty. Got 2 friends in the program and they love it. UAB was my 1st choice, but now not sure what to do?

medic,

First of all congrats on your DNP acceptance. Now for my opinion, I think if you got an interview to UAB you should at least go and sit for the interview...and do your best...and see if you get accepted. That way you will never wonder what if? Then you can make your decision on which program to attend based on that. Im a firm believer that "everything happens for a reason"! By the way which UAB component did you apply too?

Congratulations on your achievement.....Medic

Hey PaRIS ...whats the deal with not knowing when your will interview..I have a time and date...Just wondering..did you request mobile or tuscaloosa component... but congrats on your letter..i know you are as relieved as I am.....

I am interviewing for the Montgomery component...my letter states "at this time we do not have a date for your interview. we will be contacting you in the near future with that information."

I am assuming that they are waiting on the CRNA's from my component to decide on a date...I am ready to find out the exact date though.
