TWU Spring 2010

Is anyone out there applying to TWU for the Spring of 2010? Just thought that I would start a group for all of us hopefuls so we could share information and have a way to communicate with each other.

Have you taken your HESI A2 yet? Have you taken all of your pre-reqs? If not, what do you have left to take?

I have taken all of my pre-reqs, and I just took my HESI yesterday. I didn't think it was bad at all, but I prepared for it for about 3 weeks.

If you haven't noticed, TWU has made some slight changes that I think some people will not be happy with. They are taking into consideration the first grade made at pre-req attempts for several of the classes like A&P, micro, and another class. What do you think of this? I wonder how it will change the applicants chances of getting in?

Good luck and I look forward to meeting you!

well, no mail as you all have said. no email either. I was atleast expecting a letter from UTA to be there since they mailed them out yesterday, but there was not! UTA was nice enough to tell us on the 22nd that they were mailing them out on Monday (yesterday morning). And they said we should all hear by Thursday at the latest...

I applied to both TWU and UTA. Still don't know what my first choice is. I was thinking that I would decide once I found out where I am admitted to, since there is no point in deciding if I don't know for sure whether or not I was accepted.

I just called TWU and asked when we should hear about decisions. She said November 1st!!! But I just looked at the calendar; that's a Sunday!!!!! I can't wait that long. Does anyone else feel like calling and asking?

so does the mean we should hear by then?? so saturday at the latest?

I was just about to call and ask lol I'm happy ypou already called. So that means we should be hearing something this week.I'm getting so anxious! I can't wait for this crazy waiting to be over.

I just got off the phone w/them. they said that we should be hearing sometime this week. Snail mail should be going out by Nov. 1 (hopefully, mailed out by Saturday or Monday). I was told that decisions are still being made on the class. Hope this helps....it still doesn't calm my nerves....good luck to everyone!

OK, I called somone else...an advisor up there, and he said that letters will be mailed out Nov. 1. I told him that was a Sunday. He said, "Then they will be mailed out that Monday, Nov. 2." So that means we won't hear anything for atleast another week :(

Decisions are STILL being made? What the hey! How is it that hard?! I guess there were a lot of weekenders that dropped and chose to do the regular program instead and they are trying to factor them in the applicant pool. That is nerve-wracking.

yep! very nerve-wrecking! i'm going to focus all of my attention on this dang patho exam coming up. it seems never-ending...

I called at Denton Campus. She told me same thing that they will mail decision letters on NOV 1. AND WE will get no email....... about thier decisions.I was looking on previous threads and came to know that students got thier letters for spring 2009 on NOV 4th.

I just don't understand! Yeah - I'm sure that they have to factor in the weekenders that were not accepted/decided to try for regular...but wouldn't the department just have to insert them in the list where they fit? It's not like they're having to recalculate GPA, reconfirm HESI scores, and stuff like that. All of that stuff has been done!

It really seemed like the advisers thought they were going to be getting letters out much faster than in previous years (because of low number of applicants).

I was really hoping that we would hear something this week! :-(

How you come to know that they have less applicants?

Btwn, The day before application deadline I went by the nursing school office to confirm that my Hesi score on record. I had the conversation with ****** that I heard the apllicants were down for this term. She said that they were at 548, that day.

I think I will drop by the office tomorrow just to be sure there are no surprises for me and so that I can calm my nerves. As if we all werent already trying not to think about the answer that awaits.

From previously in the thread.

lol i hear ya! This is so frustrating! Can they just tell us already geez

Rha Hea,yeah I don't get it either. There are fewer applicants and their prediction of getting letters out quicker should be correct! One more loonnnnngg week.I hope they at least send us emails this week!
