Supersweet, thanks for the encouragement. And I know that what you're saying about getting the B being a good thing. I am that "A" student who apparently :) is having trouble letting go of being able to get that A and I'm furious with myself for it. I know I better get used since everyone I've talked to about the program says A's are not going to be in my future. :)

I'm curious about which campus has more applicants?I'm applying to the Houston Cmpus,but it seems more people are geared towards the dallas campus? Also,does anyone know how many people they are accepting next semester for the traditional BSN for each campus?

Isn't there an option to take Patho online? I wonder how that compares to the on campus version?

Patho online is open only to those already in the program. OK - more venting - I am FRUSTRATED that there are so many misspelled words in the notes. I mean, seriously, I have wasted a decent amount of time trying to locate definitions of words that DO NOT EXIST in the glossary of my book, and my medical dictionary. She should have the decency to go through and fix all of her spelling mistakes. Seriously. I know she has been teaching this class for more than one semester. Come on. There is tons of new vocabulary in here, please don't make me try to figure out that you spelled a word that I have never seen before incorrectly. Geez.

Plasma, are you taking it at the Denton campus? I'm curious to know how you're finding the class. Is it just outrageously hard like Elizabelle, Goopsy and I are experiencing with the Parkland campus class?

I too would like to know if there's an online version although I can't imagine how that would be.

Elizabelle, I had that same rant (privately to my husband) about 2 days ago. Her notes are less than desirable. I have had to rewrite my own and that takes time.

I've been at it already 5 hours today and plan on going to midnight if I have to. All I can say is I'm not planning on making an A in this class. If it's a B, I'll be fine with it.

Yah, the notes are pretty bad, and I agree with all of the above posts. She should have corrected these mistake by now. She said the first day of class that in the online version, you wouldn't learn a thing, and she said that she applauded us for taking the regular class. And the online is only for students who have been accepted into the program. I agree that pulling an A is going to be difficult. I'm used to only making A's as well, so this is hard for me to accept. I will do my best though.

Don't get frustrated guys! It's MC, and the answer is there. We are pretty smart people, so narrowing it down to two answers won't be difficult-that is, of course, if all else fails and the answer doens't come to us right away.

I, too, am prepared to go to midnight and even 1 at the latest.

OK, another rant. This one is the study guide. If you look at page 148, question 22. it says that the answer to what electrolyte change occurs in Addision disease is Hyperkalemia. OK, so I go back to page 145 where there is the discussion of Addison's disease and it says the manifestations are: weakness, gastrointestinal disturbances, hypoglycemia, hyperpigmentation and hypotension.

Do you see hyperkalemia anywhere in the section? No!

No butterfly, I am not taking the class. But you guys are scaring me. Hopefully, if I get accepted, I will take the online version. I'm pretty sure I will have to if I get into the weekend program.

OK, can I just say one more thing?

Thank God that there are students in this class who are actually in the program and don't have as much time to study as we do. I'm just hoping to stay above class average aren't you?

Horrible way to look at it, but survival of the fittest (or least stressed?) I guess.

Butterfly Journey - Don't forget the chapter summaries in the textbook. I have noticed some of the study guide questions come directly from the chapter summaries, so make sure to look over those too. Plus I remember her saying those were helpful to review. Not only do I have to worry about taking the test, I have to worry about finishing quickly so that I can get back to my Mom's house before she has to leave for work, because she is watching my kids for me. (My husband is out of town) So now I get to be stressed AND rushed. Yay.

Elizabelle, yeah I've been reading those summaries too and trying to commit them to memory. But thanks for the reminder.

What time do you have to pick the kids up? Maybe you can get them to bed early and still have some study time. Good luck.
