Tweety glad he was able to get the date for the play switched

Ado hoping the new washer works out

Stars glad you were able to confirm delivery date and payment. Sound like poor customer service on their part

NJ22 sounds like a nice trip so far

Work was good yesterday, no new cases, no work needed on the side project, nothing unexpected. Was a quiet night too, stopped at the store and rested

Today the knee is feeling a lot better, though I'm still going to hold off on exercise for a while until I'm sure it's back to normal. After work will be the usual grocery shopping

Will be another hot and humid day in the mid 90s here

Groggy, sleepy me! I had set the alarm clock and got up on the first ring, because my time for the Pods delivery was 7:30 AM. I got in a few sips of coffee before the call came from the driver that he would be here in about 15-20 minutes; it wasn't even that long, but at least I was able to get dressed in time!

It's a pretty fascinating process, and whoever invented the PODS thing must've been BRILLIANT. Fortunately the driver only had to do a little back-and-forth adjustments to get it so it cleared it under the wires above the driveway. Looking inside it, I see that 8 x 8 is not all that big, but I will be able to get in what I need to have toted down to Florida, because I was realistic about what I would be able to move; all small furniture and not much of it, but room enough for all the boxes. I can see why they say it is 'perfect' for moving dormitory room stuff! The boxes that SiL brought me from the ABC store are sturdy but a bit small, but I have a good # of Rubbermaid boxes that are bigger, and probably will fill the bill better. Now I have to call the 800 # to arrange for "The Final Pick-Up" in Florida because the days I chose on-line didn't seem to jibe with their schedule. I am hoping it won't be too short of a time to get it unloaded, nor too long a time for the people to start getting uneasy about how long it will sit in their driveway! But I actually have no say-so in the matter, so it will be what it will be. Worry, worry; I'm sort of sure it will work out fine whatever day it ends up having to be picked up. 🙄

I still have to pack up 'future kitchen' stuff (to store) for when I won't be sharing a kitchen, whenever THAT might be! Have to finalize the decisions about clothes to put in the POD and clothes to take in the car, and move the boxes of all my writings and clippings/snippings and such. (I need more mentally engaging things to go with me, than actual furniture!)

I need to get more coffee to be able to function, and I need to mop up the stickiness from the kitchen floor from where I dropped a sippy-cup full of ginger ale at 2 AM 🙃, and then maybe I will be feeling up to the tasks at hand. Now we are getting down to the wire and the reality of the time element. I STILL don't want anyone to help me get ready for the loading yet, though.

It's a GOOD thing my aches and pains are minimal this morning!

Laydah, you'n's!

Am "in line" to receive a call-back from an agent about arranging the date they will pick up the empty POD in Florida. They said (on the same old recording I've heard a gazillion times already) that the return cal wait time can be anywhere between 30 minutes and 2 hours. HUh, we'll see if they actually call.

Now I have to start on moving more stuff down to the den to eventually get loaded into the POD.

Joe, hope the knee continues to feel better.

Stars, keep on keeping on.

I had a decadent bacon cheeseburger and fries for lunch yesterday. It was good. Best friend is 75 today. Hard to belief we met in our 50's (me lower and him upper).

Doing some meal prep, laundry and going to hot yoga shortened class here in a few. Nothing exciting.

Cheers.

Stars, your references to the PODS people are making me think of bad science fiction movies. 🤣

Meeeee, too! Nothing here to 'hatch' though.... no aliens or such!

Have to eat something to keep up my strength and then get back to the moving preps. And I ain't tawkin' 'bout GO LIGHTLY, 😝, which would be very ICKY, to say the LEAST!

Almost time for the news. I have been REALLY, REALLY working hard to get more things done! I did get a good bunch of packing done, but I didn't realize how many THINGS I have! I've already been eliminating some of it what I thought I might take, but, nahhhh, It'sa way too lotsa STUFF!! 🤪

I just walked Tinker and it is like hot bath water outside. We did the loop around the periphery of the yard, and she did both of her businesses, so she's good for another while. She's gnawing on her 'waiting-for Mom-to-do-something bone' until I give her supper. Each time I took a small break today to wipe off the sweat and glug some more water, she came hustling up to me with one of her toys. She's not used to seeing me go at things like maniac, so maybe she was saying I should take it a little easier? I usually sit a lot more than I've sat today!

I may have already said this earlier, but the call from SiL this AM offering to help me load the POD was a REAL wake-up call and I realized how MUCH there was still to be done. This place looks like a whirlwind named No Stars has been stirring up EVERYTHING!
