Stars that must be a big let down, having all that chaos after thinking things were settled. I agree with the advice to look for senior apartments, the local senior center can probably provide resources or even a social worker to help out

Dianah sounds like a fun time

Tweety glad the new crown went well

Work was good yesterday, no new cases and not too much to do for the coworker who was off. After work did the grocery shopping, then had a meeting of the events committee of the gay group

Today coworker is back, and not scheduled to work the side project, so it should be a pretty easy day at work. Nothing planned after work except exercise

Will be in the low 80s today with rain expected

Good morning!

Joe, hope you have a good day.

I voted in the Democrat Primary here. There were a few candidates I preferred but I left most of the judges blank. I know judges are important, but I don't know enough about them. My district was zoned to dilute the heavy democrat part of the city to a republican district. It was deemed illegal years ago and was changed back but didn't stop them again this year.

Last day off and will organize myself some. I have a PCP telehealth this afternoon and will go over to best friend's for fruit and coffee afterwards. I paid $35 copay for the phone call with my PCP which will probably last 2 to 5 minutes at the most. She just wants to follow up with my blood pressure. I've been faithful at taking it and it's rarely high anymore and will probably stay the course.

Stars, that sounds like a dreadful, very un - peaceful situation!

I posted earlier but I suppose I didn't hit " submit ". I believe I mentioned this before, but my sister lives in a subsidized senior housing apartment, managed by National Church Residences. If you go to their website, I think you can search for properties by state or ZIP code. Her building is definitely pet - friendly, lots of cute little kitties sitting in windows, and I've seen a few little dogs too.

Rent is income based, and the building is for lower- income seniors.

I hope this information is helpful!

Joe, I'm glad work is back to normal at least for now. Your weather sounds more pleasant than ours (pretty sure the bank said 111 when I drove past it; my phone says 108). 🥵

Glad you had a good trip, dianah.

Stars, I am just beside myself that your life is being disrupted again.

I'm making plans for my trip to Phoenix in early October (risk management conference).

Have not been willing to maintain the low-carb thing lately even though I do think it was having some positive effects. I'll try again tomorrow.

Hello all!

Gosh, Tweety, too bad the copay for a 2-5 minute phone call f/u is so expensive! I mean, just for a BP f/u?? Glad it is staying manageable, and agree: stay the course. Hi to George!

No Stars, I agree, at least you have a chance to fill out all that paperwork before going in for the appointment. And, at least you weren't a day LATE, just a day EARLY! Be sure and set your alarm for tomorrow!! Hi to Tinker!

Ado, your temps/weather sound like ours. It is predicted to be triple-digits for the next two weeks, though not 111, just, like, 104, 106, etc. Hopefully Phoenix MAY be cooled down a little by the time you go in October. I, too, have cheated recently on my low-carb focus. I bought a loaf of sourdough bread for our festival trip, and it is SO good with butter (toasted or plain), or used in a sandwich. (sigh) I miss "real" bread. Used to love Dave's breads! And sourdough. I order low-carb breads, and while they fulfill the sight and texture of bread, they certainly don't match the FLAVOR of "real" bread.

Joe, enjoy the rain (says someone whose area of the country doesn't get enough). I hope today is quite manageable. As I was away from the computer for our trip, I didn't catch it: what did you name your cat? And how is he settling in? Has he connected with you yet, that you are "his" person?

Once I got up this morning, we left to return the RV to storage. Then we got a few fresh items at the grocery store, and came home to prepare lunch. Dh loves his eggplant (chopped), and he bought some bok choy which he chopped and microwaved along with the eggplant. Then he added half a chopped avocado, 2Tbsp soy sauce, and 2 Tbsp Crystal hot sauce. He is is hawg heaven with that meal! I had my usual chopped salad. So, now we are done with lunch and we have no errands to run (yay)!

Have a good afternoon and evening!
