Trying to bridge

Published

Hi people. I could use a bit of help. I'm currently an LPN in Hattiesburg, MS and I want to get into an LPN to ADN bridge program. The problem is that my husband wants to relocate and we haven't decided where yet. At the top of our list is Houston, Tx. Would anyone know of the best way to get this done? I don't want to get accepted into a program here and he gets offered a job and we have to leave. Currently I work in dialysis and we're also thinking of having a baby. Anyone know of any programs in the Houston area or good ones online that won't break me? Sorry this is so long and thanks in advance!!!!!!!

I was in a similar situation so I chose online.... I'm going through The College Network & I love it... I have some contact information if your interested in checking it out. Good luck

I do college network also and I love it but you have to be self proficient and motivated and not a procrastinator to go that route

The College Network is not a distance nursing program, so buyer beware. The College Network is an expensive publishing company that sells books and testing materials for distance nursing programs such as Excelsior and Indiana State. You can obtain your LPN-to-RN education without ever signing a contract with the College Network. It is better to directly enroll into Excelsior or ISU's distance LPN-to-RN while avoiding the College Network altogether. Bypassing the College Network can save a student thousands of dollars.

Many people have attempted to break the contractual agreement with the College Network, and have been unsuccessful.

Sometimes that route is better for some. Either way. It works. College network is clear about their cost when you sign the contract. Those that signed the contact and then decided later that it was not for them know that a contract is binding. It's just like taking out a loan for anything

The college network sounds like a scam yo. Buyer beware!

I hate to see people waste their money on College Network, but it is nice to have options. Excelsior College offers the same program, with federal pell grants and government student loans at a price comparison to community colleges with similar programs.
