i think i didn't say it correctly. my education: nursing college, nurse-anesthetist school (my experience is 9 years in ccu - reanimatology-anesthesiology unit - of major hospital in the town with 1.5 mln population) and master degree in "health services management". i'm on student visa here and have to support my status by taking classes, but at same time i'm working on my license collecting documents for us boards...

why ca board is working reduced hrs?

the state of ca is giving ious since they have not passed a budget. the state is close to bankruptcy. how do you plan on working once you get your license ? i apologize i thought you said you went to medical school since you said ". i received my medical degree out of the us.". good luck, tough times. to be a cna you need a msn.

it's not necessary to have SSN for foreign nurse unless you have your legal status in the US. Boards know about it... In my situation - and if anybody worked with international nrs you should know - that after you get permission for NCLEX and pass it then u will have your license - can work, you'll get your green card, and SSN (it’s also about visa screen certificate).

....why do i need a MSN if i work on my nursing lcns and have RN diploma? i just need to evaluate my diplomas, as far as i know, and to pass all paper work with the nursing board to get the US nursing license... but CA in bankruptcy... nothing to do than to try through the different states... the CA Nboard even didn’t evaluate my diploma, but according their website they do so… looks like I will do the same process again from beginning and it’s not easy

You need to be aware of retrogression, it is no longer that easy to get a GC. Retrogression has been ongoing since Oct 06 and many many people have been affected both in the US and outside the US and currently for EB3 which is what most nurses come under there hare no visas left for this year and if they use the same date as when there were visas then looking at a PD of 2003 (when a I140 was filed)

NY is not easy, they have a totally different process and application takes on average 6-12 months before you get eligibility to sit NCLEX
