Hi All,
I took the TEAS exam today and failed by 4 points. I find it weird that i didn't get the chance to take my pre reqs for for pre nursing i just was told i needed to take this test to get into that.. BUT does anyone know where i can apply in illinois near Joliet il that doesn't require the TEAS test?
Thanks

You're not going to find any real schools that don't require an entrance exam BUT you were supposed to wait until after you took your prereqs(or at least after you finished some of them) to take your TEAS. TEAS is required for NS not prereqs.
Retake the teas after you have a few classes under your belt.
Its not the end of the world!

I can't help you. But I just took the TEAS this week also. Never heard of taking it before the pre's. Honestly 4 points below passing before learning the stuff seems good. I couldn't have done that 2 years ago.

Northern Illinois University does NOT require any kind of nursing entrance exams. The only kind of test you need to take to be able to apply is a reading test, called the accuplacer, which just shows that you can read on the 12th grade reading level. Super easy.
