hello guys and girls!!! first of all would like to recognize all of you for your hard work and dedication, for passing or preparing for board exam, for your sleepless nights, managing work , family and nclex, for those days when u could have been outside with friends but instead spent in the library studying and many many more!!!
Congrats to you , well deserved, good luck in your careers and personal lives!!!!
i am trying to pass nclex-rn for some time now i graduated from los ang RN program in 2000, took exam many times and failed, last time i took exam on may 8th had 265 q and failed AGAIN!!!! when i got my results back i had near passing on all categories except for one, so i guess i was close to passing but not quite there.
i am so tired and frustrated, i am not giving up on nclex but i just cant stand it anymore i know i am not stupid, maybe i am just a bad test taker and have to suffer, shortage of nurses everywhere they say, so why not give those who went to school and passed a chance to prove that we can work as RN's , i know many people who passed with flying colors but cant work as nurses, they are afraid or uncomfortable in a hospital setting, so they choose to work in some clinic, taking vitals and do some paperwork.Seems like nclex is such a big deal to all of us that we even have a forum specially dedicated to it, its almost like we are gonna be a space craft engineers.
anyways sorry for making my presentation a long one just wanted to share some thoughts...
thanks and good luck to all of us and God BLESS!!!

I am so sorry to hear about your previous NCLEX misfortunes, and I have faith that you will pass it soon.
Purchase the Kaplan NCLEX practice book, as it can be found in most major bookstores. The Kaplan book includes strategies on answering tough NCLEX questions to arrive at the best answer, even if you have no clue what the answer is. In addition, Kaplan products have a money-back guarantee: if you fail NCLEX, you should get your money back. Good luck, and keep trying!

Hi strawberrydelight!
I seem to be fighting the same battle you are. I graduated in '99, tested and failed in '00. I was ashamed and discouraged so haven't tested since. My life took a whole new direction with marriage, kids, became a teacher, and have lived in Japan since '02.
But, I have some unfinished business and yearn to be the nurse I always wanted to be. I have been studying using Suzanne's plan and hope to test this coming Dec. Some days, I think I'm crazy to even try to attempt such feat, especially when I read posts from recent grads who have failed. But other days, I run across posts like yours, the "determined" who won't give up no matter what, and it is truly inspiring!! I don't know if I can do this but I sure will try!! And the best of luck to you!
