Hello!
I will be starting an LPN program in a few weeks at Greater Lowell Tech, yay! I am in need of some nursing shoes before the program starts and am having some difficulty finding them. Yes - nursing shoes are everywhere with just a simple google search BUT, I am pretty petite - I'm 4'11! And my feet are just as tiny and I usually wear a kids size of 2-3, depending on the shoe. Everywhere I have looked so far has sizes starting from a 6, and I wouldnt even be able to pull that off if I tried. I can manage a 4, maybe even 5 if I wear thick socks (short girl struggles )
I was really hoping I would be able to wear any shoes as long as they were white, but their policy is professional nursing shoes. Any suggestions out there as to where I can find tiny nursing shoes??? My last bet is this post so any ideas are much appreciated!

I just googled "nursing shoes size 4" and a few sites popped up.
Good luck!

I would talk with people at your school before trying to wear shoes that really don't fit. That will only cause you foot problems you do not need. Explain your problem and ask if they know of a company that sells suitable shoes in your size. Go armed with information about what the smallest size is from a variety of companies. Show that you have made the effort to find their preferred shoe in your size. While "small foot" is not exactly a disability, you might find them more understanding than you are giving them credit for -- and they may be willing to compromise on a similar style shoe for your special situation.

Try "Heroes" on the corner of Bridge St. and the First street boulevard in Lowell, they will probably order them for you. It is a uniform store.

I wear boys merrells. They make a slip on that usually gets stocked in my local store around back to school time (now!). They're strong, comfortable, laceless, and half the cost of the adult women's equivalent. ($55 vs. $110) They come far smaller than you are looking for. I'm a women's 7, I wear a boys 5. I've gotten as small as 12-1 for my son.
Hope this helps!
