Ado hope the tensions there have settled down

NJ22 I took drafting in high school, kind of liked it

Stars that is a disappointment, hopefully she won't be coming home too soon, and hopefully they'll have a good discharge plan in place

Got up early to take the car in to get the tires replaced. Work was fairly busy in the morning, more than I expected, but it had settled down by the afternoon.  Picked up the car by the end of the work day.   After work exercised and even had time to finish my taxes

Today should be pretty ordinary at work, apart from some work on the side project.  After work will exercise and make a dish for the potluck tomorrow

Going to be a bit warmer today, mid 40s, thankfully no rain or snow expected

Hubs was working as a circuit board layout draftsman when I met him. After we married, he went back to school and studied graphic design. We've both wondered if he might have been better off sticking with drafting. Twin A took drafting classes in high school and did well but never seriously considered it for a career. Yes, the same Twin A who works part-time at the zoo and is still taking classes towards a degree in statistics, of all things. And maybe that will all work out OK ?

Hello all!

We are in for the day, with the A/C running.  It's 90 degrees out.

I slept three hours, then was awake for five hours.  Then slept another 2 hr.  Took a brief nap after lunch, then got up to make tonight's dinner (so we don't deplete the frozen soup supply EVERY night).   Sauteed garlic and tiny green beans in butter, added chopped grape tomatoes, seasonings, and veggie meat, then two cups broth and low-carb pasta.  It is hydrating now.  Dh says it smells great -- yeah, any time I sautee onions or garlic, it smells great!  LOL!

No Stars, all I can say is: one day at a time!  I hope the iL's do consider arranging for some DEDICATED, DEPENDABLE, DAILY support for you -- and not just whenever they can swing it!

Joe, what are you making for the potluck?

Tomorrow I will meet with S and learn how to make lemon curd.  Yum!

Have a good evening!

Good evening.

Having dinner.  Nothing exciting.  I'm feeling a bit washed out like I'm coming down with something but mostly tired.

Off tomorrow.  No real plans, will depend on how I feel.

90 degrees? YECH! Sounds like a good day to stay in, and relax in the A/C!

Statistics? YECH! I would be miserable at that! Thank goodness I don't have to think about school or careers anymore.

It's been a quiet day, was supposed to get up in the 60's, but it never did. I just brought Tinker in from a two-times-around-the-yard walk. We saw a few squirrels, but they went up way high into the trees and we 'lost' them. It was only in the low 40's and chilly! And I think we are supposed to get another storm, maybe this weekend.

I woke up twice during the early morning hours to THUNDER! and POURING DOWN RAIN! But, by the time I got up it had all stopped.

I got appts set up.... first the dreaded one at Nannie's rehab nsg home on the 16th, then to the dentist on the 25th, and to the vet on the 30th. When I mentioned my appts to SiL, she was quick to say, "Nannie will be in daycare on the 25th and 30th,."         Pllrrbb! ? Oh goody.

Temp got up to 42, brrrr. Some higher elevations got some snow. I did a walk with the dogs, then did some pruning in the back yard; finished up the roses, and worked on a japanese maple. I went to a meeting for the master gardeners, now home. dh is cooking a steak for me.

I used to be a math nerd, and I actually enjoyed my college algebra and stats. But I sure couldn't do it today. After I took college chemistry I toyed with the idea of changing my degree to chemistry, but then we moved and life took another bend.

Youngest ds slipped on the stairs while we were gone last night, spilled on soup on his leg and possibly broke his coccyx. He called off from work and is limping up and down the stairs. There was no blistering this morning. There is a stain on the carpet that I meant to address today, but I haven't yet. dh is convinced that there is some spray that will make it magically disappear. I think he watches too many commercials.
