i was depressed yesterday. i was supposed to be scheduled for an interview soon but my PD is Dec. 8, 2005. Ah well...does the cut off date automatically apply even before November 2006 starts? It's only October right now. Still hoping..:)

I am just wondering. Is there anybody whose PD is after Oct. 05 and going through CP that was interviewed already and got a visa?

As long there is no cut off dates and visas are current, the PD does not matter anymore. It is on first come and first serve basis if your documents are all complete.

If you have an interview date then it means visas are already allocated for you.. When you received the Packet 4 it means there are visas already for you. It is the NVC who allocated the visas not the US Embassy. The job of the US Embassy is just to check that everything is okay and then issue the visa.

No interview date yet. but my case was completed last Sept. 29. Was thinking i will be scheduled soon.

Right now, visas are current for October and if you don't have any interview date then you will be affected. Just my opinion.

In my case, when my case was completed, it took nearly two months before I got an interview date.

okay. was just hoping. :) it's ok. i'm not so depressed about it anymore. i'm just being optimistic about things. i think Congress will act on the immigration laws soon, one way or the other.

:groupwelcome: Can you give us a bit more details on where you want to live? That would help in finding a hospital willing to petition you. The other option is to contact hospitals in the area you want to live to see if they are willing to petition you. Best not use the word sponser.

Just work and gain clinical experience and be productive nurses.If you havent taken any US exams yet, take time to pass it all.Make yourself busy so you wont feel the time for waiting the next batch of visas.Time flies you know.Worrying and feeling frustrated cant do anything good.You have many choices.You can go to other rich English speaking countries who need Filipino nurses, just try to gain experience and pass the IELTS..

Count me in guys! It's all about the timing, I got here at the wrong time. But I believe that this retrogression thing will be just for a few months. There's always light at the end of the tunnel, right? (fingers crossed)
