Thinking of prmenrs

Hey guys! I haven't posted in a very long time. I had a beautiful healthy baby boy on 6/24/07. He's my first so I have been busy. Anyway I was thinking of prmenrs. I think she lives in San Diego. I hope she is ok! I am assuming she had to evacuate. I am originally from San Diego (raised in Escondido). Those fires are horrible.

If I'm remembering correctly, she lives near National City, which thankfully has not yet been badly affected. Let's just hope that I'm remembering correctly!!!

These fires are really something. Just when you relax and think they're subsiding a bit, a new one kicks up. I live in Cardiff and this is the first time in the nearly 20 years since I moved to the coast (used to live in Solana Beach) that those of us who live this far west have been threatened by them. Dh just came out and told me that the 5 is shut down in both directions up by Pendleton because of the Las Pulgas fires.

Hi, ya'll!!

I live down near the border, ~ a mile or so from the coast. I was out of town when the fire started (Las Vegas, the biggest ashtray in the world!), but Juan was here. He stayed w/some friends who picked him up on the worst day. The cat was @ the vet.

So, we were all ok, but it sure was (and is) worrisome.

San Diego's terrain is "chaparal", and the natural history of the flora relies on periodic, naturally occuring brush fires to reproduce, so brush fires are inevitable. Knowing that makes it none-the-less scary, I gotta tell you! Especially if you're not sure where your home (and child) are in relation to said fire. YIKES!

Thanks for your concern--you are all so nice! :flowersfo

Thanks for checking in and glad to hear you're safe!!
