Thinking to to move to Columbus.how is pay and working condition in Ohio?

Published

Columbus sounds like a good place to live. Schools are good for kids. Housing are cheap? Anyone can offer some advice on pay and working condition for nursing in Columbus area? Thank you. Ken.

Don't know about pay and work, but Columbus Public Schools only received a "C" in progress - and that was an improvment! I live in the area and put my kid through private schools to keep him out of the CPS system. Please do your research before you decide on schools - their earlier grades seem to be OK depending on where you go.

Pay is good. Working conditions about the same as any other hospital in Big City, USA. OSU is unionized none of the others are. Columbus Public Schools not great but surrounding communities are. Pretty much what you'll find everywhere. I've been here for 18 years and love it but you will find naysayers as well. The area is easily researched. Some of the suburbs (in no particular order) Westerville, Dublin, Powell, Upper Arlington, Bexley, Pickerington, Whitehall, Reynoldsburg, New Albany, Hilliard, Grove City, Canal Winchester, Gahanna, Clintonville, Worthingon. I think that's most of them but I've likely left out a few. There are some interesting transitional neighborhoods in the city if that's what you would like. PM me with any more questions.

Thank you, I will check into Columbus area. Arizona is where I live now. I get paid about $30/hr, Average housing is about $250000 here in Phoenix. I normall get 4-5 patients on my tele floor. Thanks again.
