The last question

Published

i just got done with my NCLEX RN exam and i got 75 questions. My last question was ABG's and i know for a fact i got it right. Is it true if your last answer is right, you passed? Does anyone know? Please i am freaking out.....

From what I understand you must miss A LOT of questions to only have a total of 75 questions and still fail... Keep your head up, I'm sure you rocked it!

Thanks a lot for your encouragement. I had a LOT of prioritization, infection control, and one select all that apply. This is not my first time taking it so i doubt myself no matter what.

Whether you got the last question right or wrong has NO bearing on whether you pass or fail. Only matters how many you got right or wrong. Try not to dwell on the test while you wait for the results. Good luck!

:hngon:HANG IN THERE!!!!

that honestly makes me feel a lot worse. I will let everyone know how it goes

It is not anything to make you feel worse over.

The number of questions that one gets or getting the last question right or wrong has no bearing on your results and it is best never to assume anything until you get your actual results.

Best of luck to you.

Was not meant to make you feel bad. Not my intent at all. Just stating the facts. Whether the last question is right or wrong makes no difference. Only matters total number throughout the test you get right or wrong. Best to keep distracted while waiting for your results. ( I was a nervous wreck ; I told everyone I had failed and checked the pearsonvue quick results 4 times before I started to think maybe I had passed, then I had to phone them to verify it was not a misprint. You should see the bill!!! Ha!Ha!) Anyhoo, I did not mean to make you upset.

Good Luck! :wink2:

Everyone that writes the exam actually gets 50% correct and 50% incorrect. As you answer questions correctly, they get harder. Miss one and they get easier. It is the level where you get the majority of the correct ones at that determines if you pass or not. Number of questions nor getting the last one right or wrong make any determination in second guessing if one passed or not. This is why we always tell everyone to wait until they actually get their results before deciding that they did not pass.

This is the easiest way to explain it.

Remember that passing is always in your favor.
