guys..
i just took my nclex yesterday,i got 75 questions .i got about 3 sata,5 math calculations,2 picture,about 4 audio all were about breath sound,and lot of priority questions..i didn't have good feeling when i left.i knew about the pvt coz i tried it last time too ..so i took my test yesterday and i didn't want to try pvt coz i didn't want to feel bad ..;/..i did it today n it took me straight to the cc page..so i came to know that i failed again...i can't explain the feeling when i saw that cc page ..it just broke me down..seriously..
i am a international student...did really good in nursing school..idk why its getting harder n harder for me..i so wanna get over this stupid test..i didn't tell my family.now i know that i failed its hard for me !anyways
every time i failed i took so long to get over it..i didn't start studying until i got my official result letter in a hope may be i passes..haha.
but this time i am not gonna waste a single sec..
i am gonna start studying from today...i have hurst review till 30th of this month.so m gonna finish that completely ..
i need some help i am not so good in content...
here is what i got
saunders 4th edition
kaplan review book(purple one)
kaplan blue book
lacharity priority and delegation book by linda
nclex 4000 cd
saunder's cd too
hurst review for 9 days
and 2 more books by some other publishers
plz tell me how should i study for my next time...
i would really appreciate your help..
what's best studying your content or learning your strategies ?..how many questions a day??...how exactly i should study..?
i wanna pass this time..i will work so hard n i will get my licensure for sure....n i wanna say good luck for all the people who are waiting for their results and who are going to take the exam soon.....

kaplan focus on how to answer the question in analysis and application. Try not to memorize facts just understand it.All those facts, memorization question are all low lvl question. I'm going to take the exam on nov. I hope I pass it. BTW what school are you from? And also try to master hurstreview, she said just focus on the topic what they discussed. You have to be able to discuss verbally in ur self all the topic in their review..

I would wait to react until you get your official results.
i think i would waste my time if i will wait for the official results ...pvt is always right..:]..
so i better get start studying hahha!

I used Hurst, Saunders, and Kaplan. I reviewed info in the first two books then used Kaplan questions to help me figure out where I was weakest. I found the Kaplan questions were closest to what is on the test. The Kaplan questions are supposed to be application/analysis based questions which is what you need more of to pass. I had a friend from Uraguay who took the test 5 times before she passed. It was the language differences that got her, the way the questions were asked confused her and it may be the same for you. She had nurses she knew help her study along with using Hurst. Hope this helps
