LOL, we are in the same boat!

depends on your school...

the 4th semester at my school is ob/psych.

Congrats! :up:I am about 3 days from being where you are. I have a test Monday, our 5th one this semester and then our Final is on Wednesday morning! In our last semester we will have Transitions to Nursing Practice, which is a class with no tests but lots of papers and projects and Psych nursing which has 3 tests and a Final, plus we watch movies like "A Beautiful Mind" and write a short paper about them. We have Psych clinicals for about 5 weeks and we don't have to wear our white scrubs! I am looking forward to Transitions clinicals where we get to work 60 hours with a preceptor nurse at a hospital we have picked in and area we want to try ( we choose three hospitals in 3rd semester and they let us know which one we get) it is going to be real nursing and I can't wait!!!:redbeatheThen of course there is our pinning rehearsal, our luncheon, Graduation and our pinning ceremony!!!

In my ADN program, 4th semester (out of five) is psych, peds and med surg III. If you are at a school with only four semesters total, then your fourth might involve something like critical care, community nursing, and management. I don't know much about those, except that I was around a student in that level in clinicals for the management class, and she basically followed the nurse around everywhere and was caring for four patients instead of one, like we were. Her clinical days were also 12 hours long.
