Every semester I always find the textbooks to be outrageously priced. How do you manage to save money on textbooks?
Do you rent? Buy from somewhere online? Where do you find a good deal?

Never buy textbooks from the bookstore. Always look online for used or cheaper new texts. Amazon.com and half.com are my go to places.

If you're getting financial aid, you may need to get your books from the bookstore.
I've never tried renting books but it seems like it would be a good idea, especially if it's a text you would only use for one term.

If you are really tight on money, get the books from libraries for free. Lot easier to renew a book's due date every four weeks than to come up with a spare couple of hundred or so. Another good source is to hook up with someone one or two years ahead and buy their stuff when they want to sell it. You can find people that will give you notes and other goodies too.
