Wow pkmom--that campusi is a GREAT site. Just checked it out and it gives you a list of all the sites that have a book, whether it's new or used, price WITH S&H and any coupon codes or discounts the site honors! Thanks!!!!

So glad you asked! I have been buying my books at Ebay. Go to half.com and go to the books category, type in title, or partial title, and I have found alot of my books there. Also Amazon.com has books, but I think they are more expensive that ebay.

Ashemson,

I'm so glad I read this group. Just the other day I went to the campus bookstore and shelled out over $200 just for A&P books. I nearly lost my mind. (It's been since the late 80's since my first undergraduate degree and books were not that expensive...Or, maybe it's because I paying out my pocket this time around, hmm). Anyhow, after I got home I figured I'd give half.com a try and lo and behold I found my books there for a total of ~$96. Just got confirmations today. Thanx!!!

WOW! Isn't that cool? I love shopping there. It is so crazy to purchase from the bookstore when you can save sooo much money elsewhere. It's just too bad that alot of people don't know to go there. Good luck!

Thanks for all of the great sites! I did a search through Yahoo and it didn't come up with much...all the same price.

Lisa,

I got some of my books at Barnes and Nobles (online). They are running a special 30% off summer deal. I just bought my drug reference there and saved quite a bit. If you buy two or more books shipping will be free.

Thanks, I will start buyig this week. I just got call from the bookstore, my books will total $620.00 That is just for 4 clasess.

some books were cheaper at barnes and noble than they were at half.com, that's why I highly recomend http://www.campusi.com, they compared prices from bookstores from all over the world. :)

Has anyone ever brought used books and sell them again after the year? Are you only suppose to re sell only the fairly new ones? Please advise...

thanks

Selling them back to the campus bookstore usually depends on if the instructor is going to use the same book or edition the following year. But people sell old books on ebay ALL the time. You might try there.

Thanks so much for posting the link for http://www.campusi.com I just did a search there and found that my nursing books can be found for cheaper prices than my usual B&N and Amazon sites. Thanks again.

Here is a link to a website that will let you compare the prices at different online bookstores. It is actually a site for nursing students. If you link to it, there will be directions to follow.

Hope it helps you:)
