You are SOOOO lucky it turned out positive for you! I can't tell you how many times we are told not to bring our phones. PEOPLE -- leave your phone in your cars!! lol -- phew for you!!
Exactly I brought NOTHING except what I needed in with me. Photo ID and my ATT. I didn't even wear a jacket and it was like 10 degrees out the day I took my test.

Hello, I am looking for some insight. Took the NCLEX today and tried that trick we are all told about. It said it was on hold and that confused me. My test stopped at 75 questions and I was finished in less than an hour. Never left my seat. Called to see why and they told me that it was because I violated rules when I left the center with my cell phone in the envelope. When I got there, the man put my phone in the envelope and then I put it in the locker. Never once did he tell me that I needed to have him unseal it, and so when the test was done, I got my stuff an left. In the anxiety of the test, I never even thought of letting him unseal the envelope, and the man even asked me if I had everything and told me good luck and goodbye. I went to the bathroom, freaked a little and took out my phone and tossed the envelope. Never once did I break from testing and the only time I got my phone was after I was dismissed and the palm scan was done. This is stressing me out. I have read the rules https://www.ncsbn.org/1268.htm and I can see where the envelope is the rule, but it says nowhere about them having to unseal it. This is making me so sick. I don't know where to go from here. The people at Pearson VUE were not much help and from India, so it was very confusing but all I know to do is call again. Can't they see the video that I never left my seat during the test? Advice please? I could understand if I actually used the phone, but I did not.
