Test dates for Nclex?

Hey everybody, Im currently working in a hospital as a Graduate Practical nurse and im still waiting for my att so I can sign up for the Nclex-pn exam. Im really anxious and nervous at the same time and i want to take the first test available when i do recieve the att in the mail. Can any one tell me where i can find the test dates and view what dates are available before i recieve it so i can get a general idea on what days are available?

You sign up on PearsonVue.com -- however, you will not be able to see any of the testing dates until you receive your ATT.

Pearsonvue offers testing 5 days a week (7 days a week in some locations), but you have to wait and see which ones are available.

When I received my ATT (it was roughly a week after I graduated), the next available testing date for me was roughly 20 days out.

I agree with previous post and would like to add that you will be able to see (on line) a few test centers in your area; one will be closer than others, probably, but having a few centers will give you more choices to choose from. You can also call and talk to a customer service representative.

Good luck with your test!

I live in a city of nearly 1.5 million population and we only have one testing center -- I was quite suprised!

Oh...I am sorry for misleading you.

I live close to three big cities :). Therefore I was fortunate because I had my choices (three test centers: one is only 15 min on high way and two others about 1 hour away).

I also have the same dilemma. I want to know what are the dates available. I plan to take my test December. I submitted my application 1st week of July. Do you think it's enough time to schedule my test? I have been reviewing during my free time.

You will not be able to see the available test dates, nor schedule a date until the ATT has been released. Even if one were able to see the open dates today, more than likely it will have changed by the time that one gets the ATT.

The graduate nurse status has a time limit on it and usually for no longer than six months that you have to test to begin with.

Best of luck to you, but would focus on getting it done as soon as possible.
