Hi,
I am curious about some terminology and have been unable to find any place that really discusses the difference. When I am reading a list of s/s, what is the difference between drowsiness and lethargy? If I feel one, I generally feel the other, especially if I have been having to stay in bed. Here are a couple:
lethargy and drowsiness
slow wound healing and decreased healing
decreased resistance and increased susceptibility to infection
I've seen them listed as if they are different, but I'm not sure what the medical difference is, or if there is one.
Thanks!
Jennifer

Drowsiness would pertain to a feeling of sleepiness.
Lethargy is feeling a lack of energy, but not necessarily sleepy.
