Temporary work permit application and apply as Immigrant too in Canada..is it oke

Published

hey everyone there!!! i have a need for your answers here. i just hope someone with this same predicament could read this.......................

you see, i have an employer in nova scotia who has hired me as graduate nurse in their large health care facility. to make things short, i have applied to the canadian embassy now, i have accomplished all the papers( including tthe crnns), and i am just waiting for the result which has already been four months since i sent the papers in november 2008.

now, i have read and have heard from seminars here in our city that canadian immigration has accelerated in 30 labor noc specified areas including registered nurses and college instructors in which we or i belong to. i had sent an assessment check on my case and i passed . :D

now..the question is...( wooh...that was long huh?) can anyone tell me if i could apply as an immigrant now when my papers are on the process for temporary work permit??

i need to know your opinion on this because i have ielts that is going to be one year old this march 30. i cannot spend another time reviewing for ielts anymore if this expires again( canadian requires at least one yr. old ielts at the time of the application)

. please please anyone there...take your time to answer me.:icon_roll

may god bless you..

I moved your thread to the International Forum since it is not related to working in the Philippines and will probably be overlooked there.

You should be able to get more responses this way.

Until you have taken and passed the licensing exam there, there is no way to apply for immigrant status. That is why you are being submitted under the temporary worker visa. You will need proof of passing the CRNE exam to be submitted with the application for immigrant status.

I would focus on getting thru that exam first, and then English can follow.

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

If you qualify for PNP with NS then you can start the process now but can just as easily start it once you are in NS and working. Your employer needs to also agree to your PNP. If your paperwrk is already with the Canadian embassy then the next step if you haven't already done so is have a medical. Until that is done you will not get letter OKing you to move to NS.

Where abouts in NS are you going to be working?
