Tell me it's worth it

PLEASE tell me its worth it.........I'm working towards my BSN/RN (second degree). I start a nursing program in January but in the meantime I just started an online chemistry course and will start OChem/BioChem in the fall. I HATE chemistry and it's really tough to grasp it all in 5 weeks. I enjoy anatomy, physiology, microbiology, and am a real people person so with that in mind I think nursing is a good fit for me but Chemistry is bringing me close to tears right now so PLEASE, tell me this pain is worth it!

That's a pretty cool web site!

I have not seen Chemistry since high school, some 22 years ago, and this is a great site!!

:)

Thanks for the link!! I may need it next year when its my turn!! for my RN

Hang in there. We all have "that class". Good luck and yes it's worth it!

I failed Chemistry. Twice. Dropped Micro the first time before they could fail me. Got an A my 2nd time around.

I'd do it all again :) Totally worth it to me. And once you get into those nursing classes, that's when things get interesting. Hang in there!

Its just basic Chem, but I need to get a handle on this because I have to OChem and BioChem in the fall, THEN I am ready for all of the nursing courses. Thanks for the link!

OMG, My class was anatomy. We had to diasect a cat. Then when it came time for tests the lab assistants would pull the muscles out, turn them upside down and pull the other muscles around them out and pin them back. You didn't have any benchmarkers that way:devil: I failed it once, dropped it once and the third time, I hired a tutor, was there every night after work and on Saturdays. I cried when I left the final, I just KNEW I failed it again. The prof gave me a "C", I think it was a pity C, ROFL. I had a nightmare about 2 years ago where they took my nursing license off of me and made me retake anatomy. I kept crying "BUT I PASSED THAT CLASS!!!!" ROFL, hang in there. I love being a nurse, yes it is worth it.;)

You can do it! Chemistry was my most dreaded course and I got through it. Now it's over and done with and I'm starting my Nursing classes in the Fall. It's a great feeling to have gotten through it!

hey, cs get degrees.

funny - the day i took my cat lab exam, i told the teacher when i had finished that i'd had a dream the night before that i had failed the exam. we had a little chuckle over it & i went on to my next class. now, obviously, i wouldn't have told him this if i thought that i actually had failed it - found out the next day: yup, i'd failed. i felt so stupid for telling him about my dream:smackingf.

still passed the class with a c, though - and yeah, i'm pretty sure it was a "pity-c." and that's fine with me; cs get degrees :)
