TEAS V - Study suggestions plz!!!

Hello everyone!

After surfing the web for three days, I've found that many ppl here have the same questions I do. But I still feel the need to ask more I suppose lol b/c I'm FREAKING out!

I'm scheduled to take the TEAS on December 27 so I can re-take again before the end of March (if I fail the 1st time) b/c that's my cut off to apply for the nursing program. I honestly don't know where to begin on studying.

I've found the website www.teasprepreview.com and wanted to know what everyone thinks about it?? I'll be taking the TEAS V.

I've also purchased the McGraw Hill book, and will be getting the TEAS V study guide on Monday. But I think my main question is, what worked best for those of you who struggle with math & science? That will be my main downfall.

I've taken a couple self assesments on the algebra, and rememberd some of the stuff so i don't think the brush up with be to bad with the time I have to study, but I"m soooo scared about the science/chemestry. I haven't had any of those since high school more than 10 years ago!!

Any suggestions would be awesome at this point b/c if I take this test twice by the end of March and fail both times, I'm not allowed to take it again for another 2 years!

Thank you all in advance and sorry for this being such a long post. :crying2::redbeathe

Relax, it isn't really that bad. I've taken the old version (I think it's 4) just last year. I didn't study for it. But, I still passed. I didn't even know that ATI has a new version now, but apparently they do. I plan to take it early next year.

Click on Students Tab and there is a thread for TEAS on here. This time, I WILL be studying for it, since I don't think I'll get lucky TWICE.

Hopefully, I can get a higher overall score this time. My weakest subject is math (it's always been). I'm brushing up on everything! I mean EVERYTHING.

Since, I haven't been on 'pre-nursing/nursing mode for months' -- I need to brush up on everything! Oh God, I need to READ AGAIN (just kidding).

It helps to read the study guides, but if u have some helpful pre-req books, to look stuff up/read/etc. -- then, do it. Goodluck and don't sweat it  --- you'll do just fine.

By the way, I found that NLN was a lot harder! I didn't study for that too, but I also passed!! :D --->> Hey, I was born "lucky" --- according to the mighty rules of "astrology"... yup!

Thanks! I think it's test anxiety mixed with the only being able to take it twic issue that's really got me bugged about it. When I graduted from Ivy Tech the 1st time for Business I graduate with honors, so hopefully, I'll do ok.

Thanks for the positive thoughts, and I wish you great luck with roudn 2! If I don't get it by the 2nd attempt, I won't be going for nursing b/c I'm not waiting 2 years to do it again. lol :-)
