Hey everyone!
So, I took the TEAS V last week and lets just say it didn't go as planned..I got a 78.7 which although that is technically passing it is far from what I need. I plan on retaking it, but I keep hearing from people that when they retook it they didn't do much better which terrifies me. Is there anyone that has had success retaking the TEAS V by significantly raising their scores. Here are my scores per section:
Reading: 83
Math: 83
Science:77
English/Language Usage:70
I need to shoot for a minimum of an 87, but would like to get a 90.

I only took it once. I scored 92.7 I used the TEAS study package from ati
Thanks! I used that and studied for 2 months I just don't know why I did so bad..
Did you do the online tests? If not do them and look at your scoring and review your weak material

I would definitely retake it if you don't have anything to lose by doing so. Some schools have a specific requirement on how long you have to wait between retakes, but as far as ATI is concerned you can retake it anytime. I took it 3 weeks ago and got an individual adjusted score of 85.3%, which I know isn't a terrible score by any means, but the program I am applying to is fairly competitive and I need all the points I can get as a transfer student. I retook it this morning and got a 92.7%. I think just taking all the practice tests you can get your hands on helps identify your weak areas, and then you can focus on them. Towards the last couple days of studying, I wasn't even bothering with the areas I knew I was strong in, it was a waste of time at that point. I would suggest the ATI Study Manual and online tests, the ATI Test Crash Course ONLY For Math and Grammar (I wasn't too impressed with the science portion) and the McGraw Hill, which were mostly relevant, but good test taking practice nonetheless. I think McGraw Hill covered a bit that wasn't on either TEAS I took, not to say it couldn't show up though as one obscure question. The ATI Crash Course has an online practice test you can take too, it was pretty challenging, more so than the actual TEAS I think. I would stay away from Barron's, I actually returned mine the next day.
Good luck!
