Teas test help!!

Ok, so I am taking the Teas v test in one month. I have been out of school for 7 years, and I did not apply myself in high school so I know it's going to be difficult for me to pass. I'm going to be studying the McGraw-Hill 5 tests, and the ATI study manual. Are there anymore study tips that are going to be helpful? The school I'm trying to get into focuses mainly on reading and math, both have to be 55%

I took the TEAS V in November. I would stick to the ATI manual because ATI runs the test. If I remember right you get 2 hours but the sections are not timed evenly. It ran a little too fast for me! The reading section was a surprise to me- it just was a lot to read and then answer in very little time. And I'm not a slow reader! So be mindful of your time! If I had to take it over again I'd focus on timing myself with the ATI practice exams because some of the math I forgot and there's not a whole lot of time for debating over answers on a timed test ! I got a 68 and my lpn program requires a 50.3 for passing. You'll do fine. I passed and I stink at math and ran out of time in sections giving me zeros on those questions! Don't sweat it! And Best of Luck;)

I used the ATI book, the ATI online practice tests. I was also well removed from basic math and science (15 years). I scored 92.7% work on your timing as well as the material.

And if you are running out of time, choose an answer (a b c or d) and fill in the remaining bubbles with that answer. Wrong answers don't count against and random chance says you will get a few right just by guessing/filling in the bubble

Thank you! I am TERRIBLE at math so I know that I definitely will need to study that, but I will be studying 4 hours a day for a month. Thank you again! :bookworm:

I have been out of school for a while as well. I made a 72 the first time and returned two days later to retest. I made an 84 the next time. If you have the time and money, taking it twice is so helpful. I needed to make up missing anatomy ranking points so I had to test high.

Take it a section at a time. I found similar math questions online and practiced that way. Science was basically just memorizing the bold words. Reading: I read the question first before I read the passage so I knew what I was looking for. Also, know capitalization & grammar rules. Those are easy to memorize and may help you make up pints elsewhere.

if you're down to the wire on time, scroll fast & pick answers! Then if there's time left, you can change them if you actually are able to solve the problem.

I am taking the tabe level A test which is similar to teas without science. i am learning formulas for mental math.

percentage 10% - bring decimal over one place to left 20% - divide by 5, 50% divide by 2, 25%- divide by 4,

there are plenty of mental math tips ...hope i helped in some way :)
