TCU accelerated program 2009

So... I've been lurking on here for a while, but no one has mentioned applying to TCU's accelerated program for May 2009 start. Anyone else?

I'm eagerly waiting to hear if I will be wearing purple scrubs...

Did you talk to TCU's financial aid department? Most private universities have very good ones (or so I've heard, anyways), since very few students can afford to pay full tuition out-of-pocket.

They should be able to help you find scholarships/loans/grants, let you know how much you'll be able to borrow, etc.

Please let us know when you hear from TCU! Good luck! ;)

Wow...a week or two. I really wasn't expecting to hear anything for at least another month. This is going to be the longest two weeks.

Good luck to you both. Maybe we'll end up in nursing school together. Keep me posted. I'm Holly, BTW.

Hey ya'll! I am in the traditional track nursing program at TCU. I'll be graduating in December!:D Just wanted to say good luck to y'all and if ya'll have any questions about classes or anything feel free to ask! They are also pretty good with offering scholarships. I received one as a new trasfer without even applying (it was from the essay you have to write to get into TCU). They give me $3250 a semester, which isn't much but it sure does help. Hopefully ya'll will be able to get some. I know how ya'll feel. I'll be in loan debt up to my eyeballs by the time I graduate!:uhoh21: (Luckily none of that is credit cards though- lol)

Thanks panzy30-

I have never been as nervous as I have been waiting to hear if I got into the program. That is great that you were able to get a scholarship...every little bit counts! I have to admit, the cost of tuition has really been weighing heavily on me. I keep wondering if I am crazy to go into so much debt. However, the thought of being through with a nursing program in 15 months almost makes it worth it...for me, anyway.

You must be so excited being so close to the "finish line"! Good luck. I may be getting back to you if I get in just to see if you've got any advice.

I got my acceptance letter today:yeah:! Anybody else hear from TCU? Keep me posted! I'd love to know who's going to be in my class.

CONGRATS, HOLLY!!! :yeah:

Dang it, this is the disadvantage of mail that comes late in the day. (Usually around FOUR - how am I going to make it that long?!)

Excuse me while my dog and I locate the postman and chase him down the street...

(I'll take the dog so maybe will think I'm chasing her chasing the postman...right? LOL)

bumping....

Anybody else out there starting at TCU in May?

Wow!!! I had no idea that there was a site out there like this one. I was actually searching for TCU purple scrubs when I found this site. I am going to be in the TCU accelerated program for 2009. I have a bachelor's in Finance which is absolutely useless in this economy as well. I gave birth to my daughter on the first day of the Fall semester and chose not to go back to work and to go to school full time.
