Well I went to take the TEAS today and got a 74.1%. I am sooo bummed. I have a 3.78 gpa and made A's in all of my sciences excep Chem last summer I made an 87. I am really freaking out now because I am wondering if I will make the cut for TCC. I have completed all pre reqs except my elective which I am enrolled in now. Anyone that could give me any info/advice ?

Don't freak out, I know lots of people who have made similar scores on the TEAS and got in. Your GPA is good and if you've made mostly A's in your sciences, you are in a good position. It all depends on your competition.
My other question would be, what are you enrolled in right now? I applied the first time when I was still taking a class during registration and they wouldn't let me in; however, it was a science so.... It will just depend on whether or not they need that grade for consideration. Good luck!

The wait to get in is probably the worst part. Just remember that at this point you have done everything that you can do. I am taking the TEAS on Wednesday and that'll be it for me as well. I have two plans, A and B. Plan A is to get accepted for the Spring, plan B is to take more classes that will make me a better nurse in the future and improve my overall GPA. I am happy with either one.
The best things in life are those that you work hard to get. You're almost there.....

Thanks for the encouragement! I am glad to hear that I have a chance. I am currently enrolled in my elective. That is the only course I did not complete which could hurt me now. I should have just crammed it in somewhere to get it done. Oh well. I am going to the information session on Monday and then I will be dropping off my application. Yikes!

I am with you! Mailed off my application last week now I will just wait impatiently for Mr.Postman to bring my letter back in November...... Good Luck to us all!!!!
She is the secretary, she can answer your questions.
When I got my teas results I was worried the score
was too low, so I went straight to her and she said
it shouldn't be a problem, she is great!!!

If you are not satisified with your test results you could also go to Weatherford College and take the Teas again. There you can take it and if your scores are better you can turn those in to TCC. I took my Teas there because they do not have a limit on the number of times you can take it. I took the teas 2 times and got a better score the 2nd time. Dont let your score get you so down. Your grades are great and the score is not that terrible.

That is not true...you can only submit TEAS scores once per application period. In addition, you can only take the TEAS test a total of two times (once in any two application periods). The last entry period saw GPA's lower than yours get into the program but most did have higher TEAS test scores. It depends on how many points get applied to the test scores vs. science grades and overall GPA and what your competition does. Good luck to all of you guys...
At Weatherford college, the first time you take the TEAS test you can take a repeat test after 1 week. After those two tries are done and you want to retake again you can retake again 2 times after 6 months has gone by. At TCC you can only take the TEAS test 2 times and if you take the test 2 times they only look at the second score, even if the first test score was better. Hope that clears up any confusion from my last post.
Good luck to everyone.
