TCC - Fall 2011

Hey there. Is anyone else planning on applying for the Fall 2011 nursing program at Tallahassee Community College?

I'm currently finishing Anatomy & Physiology II with the lab. I still need to take the HESI and get BLS certification done. It's time to get moving! How is everyone else coming along with the application process?

    I just had my transcripts sent over to TCC for evaluation. I am a little concerned about my chances of getting in because my GPA is only 3.2. So basically I have to score in the high 90's on the HESI to even have a shot at acceptance. I currently live in Panama City Beach and I just signed up to take the HESI on the 22nd of this month. I've been studying my butt off and I feel pretty good about it. Just gonna take my time and really try and do well on it. I am praying I get in because I am leaving the current program I am in right now at Gulf Coast Community College after being in it for a year. Im in the Dental Hygiene program and am really unhappy with it. I wish I would have chosen nursing initially and not have wasted the past year. Oh well, Just have to keep my fingers crossed.     Transferring schools would be fun, although sounds nerve racking. I don't know what the average GPA is going into the program... I don't even know my GPA of all the prerequisite classes (it's only the prerequisites that are counted)

    I'm sure you'll do very well on the HESI exam! I need to keep reviewing so I can take it this month. That stinks that you didn't like dental... at least you can change it now and not go back. Hehe. Thanks, I'm very excited to apply!

    Cool! I don't have my BLS certification yet. You can get it after initial acceptance. I guess I'd go to Red Cross for the certification. I couldn't find anything at TMH about it, although I thought they did classes too.

    I have applied to TCC nursing for Fall 2011 as well! I took the Hesi ( it was easy) so I am keeping my fingers crossed that I get in! I also applied to FAMU, UNF and I did not get into FSU. So we will see! I am very excited and anxious and I hope I get in at least one!!! How did everyone do on the Hesi?

    Someone doesn't have all their eggs in one basket! Haha, congrats on that. I ended up getting 91% cumulative on the HESI. With my gpa and extra points from the HESI factored in, that is a 144/160 total points.
