Taking your pets with you to USA

Hi guys

Would be grateful for anyone who has experienced doing this. Have heard some horror stories about animals dying in transit due to soaring or freezing conditions :( and therefore want to make sure I do this properly for my dog and cat. :uhoh21:

thank you!

taking my 3 dogs with me and will probably use a agency to take the hassles on sorting it all out, may be a bit more expensive. Any animal goes in a special part of the hold which is kept warm, not heard many tales on animals freezing lately

My friends took their two cats with them when they moved from the UK to Canada. Booked them in with the airline as far as I remember. I can ask them if you like - let me know.

They survived absolutely fine & are still going strong some 8 years later!

Our cat moved house when my daughter was born - she obviously knew she was trouble before we did! Lives 2 doors down now - comes back for the occasional visit during the day when the kids are at school.

It was really funny because the neighbour's cat looked very similar to her & she was always in trouble for cheating them & pretending to be their cat, eating the food, sleeping on their bed etc. When their cat eventually died she just sorta took over where he'd left off!! They don't mind now & as they know we're going to the USA they said they'll just keep her, being as she's there anyway!!!

Hah - that's funny that your cat "rehomed" herself!
