Taking 2 nursing classes together

Has anyone taken 2 nursing classes together? If so, which ones? Any recommendations on where to take college algebra, my last elective? Also, did y'all take medical terminology and legacy for your upper level electives?

Lol I thought everyone did. Won't it take you a ridiculously long time to graduate if you take them all separately?

Yes I am taking Legacy and Term for electives. Whatever you do don't take 3425 health assessment with much else the assignment if you don't start early is time consuming like 5-12 hours depending on how in depth you go and there are two due each week. I've taken two nursing courses along with electives together this whole time. This rotation I am in now is the hardest to handle. Bio 3309, NURS 4455 & 3425, POLS 2311 and Lit. They are just very time consuming with the readings and interactive for 3309. It can be done.

I've done it...depending on the classes it can be tough. I took 3425 with another nursing class and I felt like I was being put through a ringer. I would consider taking a 3000-level class with another 3000-level class or a 4000-level class. I wouldn't do two 4000-level classes together if I could help it, since those 4000-level classes are considered by many to be the tougher ones.

I'll admit that found it much more enjoyable to take one nursing class together with one non-nursing class.

I have all of my pre-requisites, except for college algebra, and my advisor said to only take one nursing class at a time! But, I was thinking that I could double them up!

Wow! That is a full load! Are you working too? I am in health assessment right now, then research in February. My advisor said to not double up any nursing classes:( I only need algebra for my other electives.

No I was stationed in Germany for 3 years and instead of looking for for work I got back in school. It is killer right now I don't have enough time in the day for all of it honestly. BUT it is possible to do 2 nursing classes at once you just can't fall behind and you have to look ahead to plan for time consuming assignments lol like assessment! I have to start it early now because i couldn't get it done in one day anymore!

Good luck:) I miss being in the military, believe it or not, lol! But I am suffering from a surgery, 2 years ago, on my right tfcc. I tore my tfcc in basic training 23 years ago and just got it fixed, blah, has been very painful!

How was leadership and management? What it really time consuming?

I still have to take that class. I just heard that research and holistic health assessment were the most time consuming.

I took Med Term as my elective and found it to be an easy A. I think this would be especially true for a person who has experience working with patients and dealing with labs, diagnoses, procedures, etc. It basically expands on what we learned in RN school. I did overlap this class for 3 weeks with Holistic Care of Older Adults and got more stressed out than I wanted to. I work in a busy ER full time and have a family to care for, so the work started to pile up, and I don't like the feeling of being stressed. I will go back to 1 class at a time for now, which is very doable, and still get done in just over a year. Hope all goes well for you!
