Taking NCLEX-RN in 6 days..

Published

I'm taking NCLEX-RN on June 14 here in CA. Graduated last May 24. We had ATI tests during school and I got 99% probability of passing NCLEX on my ATI comprehensive exam. I've finished using Kaplan book and CD - I got 77% on the cd practice test and 82% on the book practice test. I also read the allnurses study guide. I'm now taking 100 saunders cd questions every day. I'm starting to get nervous as the day gets closer!! I'm hoping I am ready by then.

What else do you suggest that I do to prepare?

Sounds like you are studying just fine! That's what I did was questions questions questions. Nothing can prepare you for the anxiety you will go through no matter how hard you study and how well you do studying. You're going to leave the test feeling like you failed, no way around that feeling either. But you will do great! I just took mine June 4th and passed! I was so nervous and scared I literally made myself physically ill until the next day when I found out I passed.

Good luck!!! You will do great! :)

Thanks so much! Congrats on passing nclex!

I think you have it in the bag. I didn't do half as much and passed the first time with 75 questions. I also scored a 99% probability of passing on the ATI. Try not to psych yourself out. Do less as the day approaches, not more. The day before, don't study at all and go to bed at a decent hour. You'll be fine.

Thanks for the advice. I'm hoping to get 75 questions too!

You are very welcome! You got this! :nurse:

The one major piece of advice I can give is, do not study the night before the actual exam. Take that time to relax, seriously most of my friends and myself tried studying right before the NCLEX and we all ended up having horrible panic attacks.

Thank you! I'll take your advice. :)

Just 2 more days.. I'm rereading the allnurses study guide right now and I plan to rest and not study tomorrow. Thanks to everyone who replied. I will update you after my nclex.

mgp6~~~ I also take my boards on the 14th, I am very nervous and anxious to get it over with! I feels like time is standing still! I did the ATI with a 91% chance of passing the first time. I have done Kaplan mainly, with a little in Saunders and LaCharity. I have also printed out the All Nurses study guide. I plan on reviewing it lightly Wednesday afternoon, then dinner and relaxation afterwards. Good luck!
