well, I thought I would be taking an exam every other month, so far I am behind schedule. I have been putting off the Health safety exam due to $$ and time....it has been hectic around here. has anyone taken more than a year to complete this program? Anyone taking their time with it like me???

I've been enrolled since Aug 2007 if that tells you anything...............lol. That's the beauty of a program such as this; when life happens or the funds are low we can take a necessary breather. Just relax and enjoy the ride but keep track of your time. I'm thinking this year may just be the year I finish; if I don't complete it as soon as I think, I KNOW I will be CPNE eligible before the end of the year.

it is okay as long you don't wait too long! you have to keep yourself motivated and envision that rn title after all this hard work. i am glad i got in the "package plan option" so that i have a deadline of less than a year to finish or else pay more $$.
good luck with your studying! you can do this!!

I am probably the prize taker for taking forever with EC. I do not recommend taking your entire adult lifetime! A week or three off schedule should not hurt. But two or three seven year time frames with no success, is nothing but a waste of time, money, and aggravation!

I can understand...I had to take time off this past year due to starting a new job and my work schedule was working days and nights in same week...kinda difficult trying to keep my mind together for studying...you can do it..keeping focused at times is hard but try to look at the goals you have set for yourself it can be done...Best of wishes! :)
Thanks everyone for the words of wisdom:redbeathe I was so motivated then I got super busy at work and both my kids started baseball/soccer season and I feel like a taxi when I am not at work!!! Plus funds have been kind of low here as well. I am registering next week for health safety, I think I can take that exam after 2 weeks of hard studying. I have TCN workbook for that one and I took some of the practice quizzes in it without even studying and did well. I'll see how I do on the practic exam and go from there. Thank God for thos EC practice exams!!!! worth every penny! I'm hoping to be finished within 2 years time. seems like a good time span to me.
