Finished LPN certification. I am scheduled to take the boards on the 13th in IL.
Everyone I have met from class has passed so far. Some took all 205 questions, some passed at 85. It is so nervewracking just thinking about the boards. I thought school was tough.
Am also currently in Micro and A&P II.
Getting ready for RN Associates. Hoping to join 2nd semester RNs in Jan.
Just an added note. I know that some on this thread are concerned about their experienced age at starting a new career and even going back to school. I will be 55 at the end of this year, and have been a CNA in long term skilled the entire time I went to school. Not full time of course. I will happily tell you that I made it and I wasn't the oldest in my class. I am exicited about the fact that I only have about 1 1/2 years to go for my RN. Yes, I got tired of going to school, and the question frequently crossed my mind as to whether I was doing the right thing or not. But all in all, the time goes by faster than you can imagine, and then you are done.

Hi! I'm new to this site.
I'll take my test on October 15th, I'm currently using Kaplan and Saunders to help me prepare. What are you using for your prep? I school in WI, and will try to enter a bridge program in WI or IL, since I live close to the wisconsin-illinois border. Which school are you planning to do your RN?
Good luck with your test
I am using Lippincott and Saunders to prepare for boards. I will be attending a junior college for RN Associates Degree. Contemplated as to whether to go to university for bachelors, but realized that I could do BA online while earning money.
I live 50 miles south of Chicago. Kankakee, IL is my hometown. Good luck on your boards.

BA online sounds like a really good idea, I hope I'm able to get in a junior college here as well--if not, I may then decide to the LPN-BSN through the Indiana State University. Good luck on the boards, I'm sure you'll do well. Also, good luck as you pursue your RN degree.
