Takin' the TEAS

Good luck! I was very nervous when I took it, but I was pleasantly surprised by my score - I hope you will be too!

I will have to take the TEAS probably in the next month or 2. How did you prepare for this test?? I see there are flashcards you can order. I need all the help I can get! Thanks!

There is a study guide available from ATI (the same people who created the test, I believe). I also bought some downloadable guide off the internet, if you do a search for TEAS study guide you can find that one. I spent a little much money, but I wanted all the help I could get too!

Just got back from the TEAS exam, and it was a bit easier than I expected it to be. I would agree, it is common sense for the most part. I found the science portion the most challenging. After taking the test, I think most students could do well without purchasing the TEAS study guide. If you go to the TEAS prep website, there are practice modules that you can use to test yourself. These helped me a lot! I thought the study guide gave you too much information. Well, now we will wait and see what the results are. I'm praying for a great score.

Glad to hear you felt good about it! We got our results immediately which was awesome.

I would say about the study guide - I recommend it particularly if one hasn't had algebra recently. I would've bombed without brushing up on that, and the study guide did a pretty good job of explaining it for me.

i took the teas yesterday and cannot figure out the results. my husband said that it does not look like i done so hot but i thought i came out at least ok... anyone know what numbers are good... the science was the worst part..i am a nurse and know nothing about plants . why do they ask you such stupid questions for nursing school entrance......

I agree txspadequeen! The science portion of the test was riddled with life science questions about plants and such. I was sitting there with this weird look on my face. I swear, not one A & P question on the whole thing. I wasn't too happy about that, but think I did ok.

How many questions were there and was it on a computer or paper? Don't have to take it for a few months but just curious. I'm sure you both passed!!
