suny Suffolk 2023 fall program

Starting this forum for those applying to Suffolk community college for fall 2023. Feel free to send encouraging words, share TEAS scores, and any information from the admissions department. The deadline to apply was January 15, 2023.

I scored 82 on my TEAS with a total rubric score of 81. I am still nervous, last year the admissions office told me they only looked at those who scored advanced on TEAS which is an 80.

In previous year threads I've seen that they've sent out acceptance emails early March.

I had to call about a question about a month ago, and I think they said they'd start notifying at the end of March? Would love confirmation though if someone else has heard anything.

They sent my acceptance letter today

Today I got my acceptance letter , what a nice Valentines Day gift . God is good

I got a rejection letter. My rubric score should have been a 85-86. I wonder why I got rejected. Oh well I'll apply again for the Spring

I didn't get into the RN program either and my score should have been the same as well. I got into the LPN which I am just going to take. Seems like programs are getting harder and harder to get into so I'll just take it

Anyone doing LPN?

Congratulations on getting into the LPN! I'm glad you're going to take it . I also didn't get accepted and my Rubic is about the same as y'alls. I'm currently in the LPN program at Suffolk . If you have any questions let me know

Sorry to hear ! Yes try again for the Spring ! Or maybe think about the lpn program as well

Hi, guys! Did you get a place in the nursing program of Fall. I failed ?. I just want to know how many rubrics grades did you get if you were admitted.

I think 85 is really a nice grade, still not in……

I didn't know how many rubric score I get, because I didn't know if they add my transfer credit to my grade. I asked the admission office how many grade did I get , but it seems that they didn't want to tell me.

They told me this year the pool of applicants and scores were strong and they first give preference to those who reside in Suffolk County. I currently live in Nassau, I guess that's why.

Congratulations

Congrats to all those who got in! Looking forward to meeting everyone.

To those who didn't get the email you'd hoped for - don't give up! More spots will probably open up as people who applied to more than one place start making decisions about which program to start. The deadline to pay the deposit is Feb 22, so more emails may go out around then?

That's such a bummer. That's actually what I had to call about early in the process, because we just moved here a short while ago. Hopefully you'll get in somewhere!

Hey y'all! I applied for the fall, too. Only place I've applied for this year; we just moved here and getting the prereqs for the other programs and paying out of state tuition is just too much right now.

To share my stats, I got a 98 overall on the TEAS and I estimate I have an 80 on my rubric. I'm missing a few classes, but hope what I have is enough to get in.

Fingers crossed for all of us!

Such a high grade on TEAS! Did you get the acceptance letter?
