suny Suffolk 2023 fall program

Starting this forum for those applying to Suffolk community college for fall 2023. Feel free to send encouraging words, share TEAS scores, and any information from the admissions department. The deadline to apply was January 15, 2023.

I scored 82 on my TEAS with a total rubric score of 81. I am still nervous, last year the admissions office told me they only looked at those who scored advanced on TEAS which is an 80.

Thanks! I honestly never added up my rubric but I got an 80 on my TEAS. When I applied in 2021, I had a 78 and didn't get in. I have almost all pre-reqs done except for 2 classes I believe. My grades were As, Bs and 1 C in statistics. I am a suffolk resident. Didn't get into Nassau this year.

Thanks for sharing. I got 81 on TEAS. It seems I should work on more pre-requisites.
Does anyone know the TEAS grade expiration rules? I got my TEAS grade on January 10th 2023. I am wondering if I can apply the 2024 Fall program with this grade.

a few days ago, I received an email regarding a background check. It cost $135. It's due by March 17th

I still haven't heard anything. Maybe RN and LPN have a different schedule. I will reach out to them tomorrow and ask.

don't forget submit your covid vaccination proof by March 8th or you will lose your seat. Check acceptance email and it gives instructions on how you can submit .

Do you know if there are any other health forms we have to submit yet? I can't find any.

Can anyone tell me what the academic preparedness category of the rubric is based off of?

For my classes I have:

A/P 1-B

ENG 101-A

Microbiology- A

Statistics- A

Intro to Psych-A

Intro to sociology-A

97% on TEAS. Which gives me the 25 points for exemplary plus 2 points for first time TEAS and then 48 points for TEAS and then 16.5 for classes. s

If the academic preparedness category is based of of the TEAS, then I will have a rubric total of 91.5. Is this right?

@hannahbanana97The academic preparedness category is based on the total TEAS score. Over 90% I believe is exemplary.
