Did some bird watching at the Arboretum yesterday. Had lunch with dad as usual. Washed the sheets and did some cleaning
Talked to the regular vet. He was OK with the cat going into the hospital for a few days, this one time. He advised that if this was inflammatory bowel disease the steroids would solve the issue. If instead it is lymphoma of the intestines...and the only way to tell for sure is a biopsy...then it would only provide temporary relief. He agreed with me that given her age biopsies, surgeries, or chemotherapy would not be appropriate.
The cat's behavior improved once she realized I wasn't going to take her to the vet or give her medication every time she saw me. Helped that I gave the appetite stimulant along with one of the doses of steroids rather than separately, so only 2 medicine administrations per day rather than 3
And thankfully she began eating later last night. Only cat treats so far, no dry food yet, but about 20 total. Previously she had only had 2 cat treats last Wed. I'll keep monitoring but for right now it looks like we can hold off on the hospitalization
Wasn't planning to go to church today as I was originally supposed to be out of town, but since I'm here I'll attend the Palm Sunday service. Before then will do the laundry, afterwards the cooking and exercise
Stars glad you finally got her going
Dianah glad the dog is doing better
Ado San Antonio sounds nice
Tweety hope your next shift is better
