Stars glad you weren't hurt in the fall

Hi Dianah

Was a fairly ordinary day yesterday. Went bird watching in the morning but didn't see much. Later had lunch with dad. Did the cooking and the laundry in the afternoon as I would be busy today. Watched Svengoolie as he had one of the 1940s horror movies I tend to like

Things going well with the new cat, still a learning process but we're adjusting to each other pretty quickly

Today have church. Then will take the train downtown to meet my friend J for lunch at a restaurant I've been interested in.

Going to be warm again today, with rain and possible storms expected, mid 80s

    Dad agreed to hospice and my mom passed away peacefully yesterday. My niece and I were there and my dad in the living room because he couldn't take it. He spent a lot of time at her bedside though. My sister was on the phone with my aunt in another room. My niece and I had medicated her well no thankfully there was no distress.

    The one day she was on hospice was hospice. One reason I wanted her to go to the hospital was to get a fast track to hospice and the meds.

    Anyway, I'm in the airport heading home. Work has been great to give me time off to come home and bereavement days coming up.

    My air conditioner supposedly will ne fixed Tuesday.

    I'm sorry for your loss, Tweety. Glad you were able to be there and that she had hospice care.

    Tweety, so sorry for your loss. It sounds, though, like you had hospice support when needed, and I'm glad you were there for your family. Be good to yourself as you grieve. I hope your A/C is fixed SOON!

    I have puttered around the house, cleaning several little areas. If you walked into the house, you wouldn't be able to tell (the rest of the house is cluttered and dusty, lol!) but I can tell. Baby steps.

    106 degrees yesterday, probably same today. Maybe cooling off to the high 90's tomorrow!
