Hi! I'm a junior in college who just switched from pre-med to nursing. I've been doing research the past two summers and plan to graduate from college then apply to a masters/graduate entry program in nursing...
Anyways, I was wondering what would be a good 'pre-nursing' activity to do this summer. Some people have told me to become a nursing assistant...
Any advice/ideas?
Thanks :)

where are you located? in LA we have a program called Clinical Care Extender, it's awesome experience and then you can even apply for scholarships through them - http://copehealthsolutions.org/servi...ram/index.html. You might want to see if something like that's available, I think that volunteer experience is looked upon more favorably than just being a CNA, but I'm nto sure about that. Most hospitals have established volunteer programs, and they might let you do special stuff or shadow an RN if they know you're a nursing (pre-) student. Good luck, let us know what you come up with!
