Summer Courses

Ok so what is the lowdown with summer courses? Is it easier or harder? I will be taking my first summer courses in about a month and want to know what to expect!

Thanks!

Easier..always easier.

Just don't do something crazy like taking Anatomy with Micro.

hopeful, that's funny that you said that...I lost my mind and decided to take Advanced Physio(10 weeks) and Chemistry(8 weeks/online!) this summer.

I'm shootin for A's and prayin for C's lmao...I hope you're right about it being easier!

It depends on the class and instructor. Most of the summer and interession (super accelerated) courses I have taken have been easier. Though, typically, I try to take only easy courses for summer anyway, so maybe they would have been easier anyhow. Plus, it is usually a lighter load and well, summertime so living is easy!

I have though had a couple instructors who did not par down the content at all and crammed every single bit of a 16-18 week course into 6 weeks. That is horrible. I need time to process and "sleep on it" so doing a chapter or two a day for chemistry killed me. Its all about the instructor and content and your familiarity with the subject going in. I would not make a blanket statement, because sometimes it is much harder and other times somewhat easier.

Good luck!

A good friend of mine told me she finds summer courses easier.

I'm taking chem and math this summer. My counselor told me the lab classes are really intense in the summer since the time is shorter. Guess we will see!
