success with ATI

just wondering if anyone here has had success on nclex with ati? my school had us utilitilizing ati in prep for boards but im not sure if it actually works. any comments on this matter would be greatly appreciated

thanks in advance

The RNs on my preceptor unit in school who had graduated within the last year or 2 told me ATI is what they used to study. My school used ATI throughout the program to test our knowledge. I also used Saunders books to study for NCLEX too. I think all the different study options out there are good, and in the end about the same. You just need to find what works for you. If it is ATI then use it, I know it has worked for some.

ATI has had more bad comments on this site than some of the others, but it really doesn't matter. The person using a review is ultimately responsible for how useful any particular review system turns out to be.

I liked ATI, I think it prepared us well, I love their books.

we were obligated to test on ATI for every class, and it would be on a pass/fail basis, as well as we had to take their comprehensive exit exam. It was not bad at all. Although when I was studying, I chose to go with LaCharity and Mosby, once in a while I would open ati books for a review on a subject here and there, all their review books are really nice, and would help me grasp a content.

After I graduated, I found ati, to be lacking a q bank and more tests, hence I went to mosby.

Passed the NCLEX 1st try, 75 questions, and I am thankful for ATI, for building a strong base, but will credit Mosby/LaCharity to my success

thanks for the replies, i am using kaplan, saunders, lippincott, ati, and i have mosby's i use everything i can get my hands on to pass this test

Using everything you can is a good way to do it. My school uses ATI and after graduation I did the V-ati. It had good material to look through but my tutor did take her time getting back to me and there weren't many exams to practice. Don't get me wrong because there are many exams they offer but I was needed more, so I turned to Saunders to answer more questions. I also downloaded an APP on my droid that helped alot too. I pass my Nclex last Thursday with 75 questions. If you do decide to do ATI.....don't focus on the scores you get but rather the material. Confidene is always KEY in Nclex.....good luck :)
