And where can I see my postings to see if I have personal messages?

You can either loot at the top of the page, where it says, "Welcome, natalio," or you can click on "my acct." and pick 'Private Messages' in the drop down menu. Play around with the buttons on the site- you'll find all kinds of neat things.
