I downloaded the study guides for the first two tests. I'm a bit overwhelmed and am not really sure where to start. Has anyone has sucess using studygroup101? How did you start studying. I'm sure once I get through the first test, I will figure out what works for me, but for now I'm confused. Do I print everything out and make a notebook? Help!!!! Any tips would be greatly appericated! Also, how long did you give yourself to study for these two tests?

You might want to obtain the recommended texts that are listed in the study guides. Then start on a study plan. Do the readings, answer any chapter questions, make flashcards of facts that you glean from the readings, tie in the SG101 notes with your outline. I read somewhere where someone did extensive internet work. For example, you encounter congestive heart failure. Do a search and take notes from the internet as well as notes from your reading in your texts and your SG101 notes. Just basic study. And be sure to do the practice exams. They give you a good idea of what to expect and some of the questions may be very near those you find on your actual exam. HTH

I found buying used texts a far better source to study by, I have the Health Safety/Differences disc myself.
They do not go with the outline at all, then I noticed the 2008 on them. They simply don't have the same material for EC tests.
Then there are mistakes being found in them too. A few threads on this topic here.
I get my books, in used but like new condition on amazon pretty cheap too.
Most I've paid is $25 for the 2 volume Med/Surg (Brunner & Suddarth), most of the books run $5- $6.50 + s/h. Much faster way to study because the Content Outline comes from these books, directly.
I download the outline, look at the chapters listed before the outline topics and find each thing I need without looking anywhere else.
